Mission Dog partners with professional, positive trainers as Affiliates. As a Mission Dog Affiliate, you are a resource to your shelter and rescue community. We provide you with know-how, lots pre-created materials to get programs up and running, and a way to connect with shelters and rescues.

What if I am already connected in my community?

If you already have this kind of relationship established with your local shelter or fulfill that role as an employee or volunteer- great! We can assess where you are and provide guidelines to implement or build upon current enrichment or training programs. We can help make sure you don't have to reinvent the wheel!

What’s in it for me?

Opportunity. Working in partnership with your local shelters/rescues has you establish yourself as an invaluable resource. You may be asked to provide professional advice when it's needed for dogs in the shelters/foster homes or in forever homes. This can make the difference between a dog making it into a new home and staying there.

Connections. Most shelters and rescues are stretched to the limit. Time and staff limitations make it challenging to implement training and enrichment protocols. As a Mission Dog Affiliate, you can become a coach to staff and volunteers, and your reputation in the community will only become stronger. Our outreach efforts match nonprofit dog rescue groups with trainers who want to help them.

Credibility. The Mission Dog Affiliate designation lends a level of professionalism and integrity that you may have to work hard to establish on your own.
